Submission to Auckland Transport on the Regional Land Transport Plan - June 2024

FFNZ’s submission on the Regional Land Transport Plan focused on:
* Adding rural connectedness as a listed challenge, with objectives linked to economic prosperity, better functioning road corridors, and support for regional industry and businesses
* Asking for maintenance to be prioritised for rural and local roads
* Auckland Transport to take responsibility for drain maintenance and other assets within the roading corridor
* Requesting information about how road safety funding and community network improvement funds will be allocated for rural areas
* Funding for priority growth areas, and;
* Other network community improvements, such as prioritising the four-lane proposal for Karaka Rd (SH22) from the Drury motorway interchange to Oira Road (or beyond).
